Farm Life

A farm childhood, twice a day

The animals shape the rhythm of the day. Children can join supervised farm rounds, morning and afternoon.

Supervised farm rounds

A farm childhood, twice a day.

At Landmeterskop, the animals set the pace. Most mornings around 8am and most afternoons around 5pm, children can join a supervised farm round — collecting eggs, meeting the animals, and learning the quiet routines of farm life.

It is simple, muddy, memorable, and exactly the kind of farm childhood weekends are made for. Rounds run weather depending, and always with a grown-up from the farm leading the way.

Meet the animals

Every animal on the farm has its own character — and most have their own name. Children meet them on the supervised rounds, morning and afternoon. (Names and photos are being added as we go.)

How the rounds work

Calm, supervised, animal-first.

  • Rounds run most days at 8am and 5pm, weather depending
  • A grown-up from the farm always leads the round
  • Children walk calmly — no running, chasing or grabbing
  • Closed shoes are strongly recommended
  • Egg collecting whenever the hens have obliged
  • No entering pens or feeding animals without staff
  • Handwashing after every round
  • Animal welfare comes first — a stressed animal is given its space
