Good on-site WiFi makes the cottages workable for longer stays, remote work and family resets.

Children can enjoy the animals, open space, egg collecting, farm games and the swimming dam with adult supervision.

No pets, because this is a working farm with animals.

Swimming dam

There is one swimming dam. It is not lifeguarded and children must be supervised at all times near water.

Finding us

Directions

Landmeterskop farm is roughly 200 km from Cape Town and 22 km out of Stanford on the road to Elim. The last stretch is on gravel roads where mobile signal can drop, so save these directions before you set off.

From Hermanus

  1. Take the R43 to Stanford.
  2. At the Stanford intersection, turn left onto the R326 towards Caledon.
  3. After 4 km, turn right onto the Papiesvlei / Salmonsdam / Elim gravel road.
  4. After 11 km, cross the river and turn right towards Elim at the T-junction.
  5. Continue 7 km over the hill until you see the gate and sign on your right.

From Caledon

  1. Take the R316 and travel approximately 27 km.
  2. Turn right onto the R326 and travel approximately 19 km.
  3. Turn left onto the Papiesvlei / Elim gravel road.
  4. After 11 km, cross the river and turn right towards Elim at the T-junction.
  5. Continue 7 km over the hill until you see the gate and sign on your right.
